Meet Jessica Horner-Heckman and the vision behind Root & Hue
The Evolution of a Vision
Twenty years of industry expertise has taught Jessica one thing: beauty is an act of strength. Root & Hue is the evolution of her vision… a space where high-performance botanical care meets uncompromising artistry. We don’t just style hair; we cultivate confidence. It is a meticulously crafted environment where the ‘Root’ (your hair’s enduring integrity) meets the ‘Hue’ (the bold, bespoke expression of who you are).

Jessica: Master Colorist & Chief Artist
A 20-year veteran of the craft, Jessica is a Master-level colorist with a deep-seated passion for the alchemy of pigment. Her expertise spans the most prestigious color lines in the world—including Framesi, Kaaral, and Wella… allowing her to mix shades that are as unique as her clients.
Specializing in the seamless, ‘lived-in’ look of Balayage and high-performance extensions (from beaded row to kera-link), Jessica views hair as a living canvas. Certified in Brazilian Blowout and Keratin treatments, her philosophy is simple: hair must be healthy to be beautiful. At Root & Hue, she brings this meticulous technical skill to a space that feels like a deep breath.
Color
Soft lived‑in blondes, rich brunettes, coppers that actually suit your skin, and modern gray blending. We focus on placement, dimension, and tone so your color grows out gracefully and never feels overdone.
Extensions
For when you want more—more length, more fullness, more movement. We custom‑blend and shape extensions so they disappear into your natural hair and feel like they’ve always been there.
Cuts & Styling
Fashion‑forward cuts with clean lines, considered texture, and shapes that work with how your hair actually behaves. From air‑dried waves to polished blowouts, styling is tailored to your routine, not someone else’s.
Formal & Bridal
Upstyles and finishes that photograph beautifully without looking stiff or “sprayed into place.” Think brushed‑out waves, modern chignons, and understated structure that lets you look like yourself—just a bit more cinematic.
